Common Questions about Vacation Rental Homes

What is your payment policy? 

We require 50% of the total rental amount be paid within 10 days of making your reservation.  The balance of your total reservation cost is due 30 days prior to your check in day.  If you make your reservation 30 days prior to check in, we require that payment be made in full via MasterCard or Visa.

What is your cancellation policy?

Gardner Realty Rentals does not refund any money paid towards your rental in the event of a cancellation.  We do, however, offer Trip Interruption Insurance through CSA Travel. The cost of the Trip Interruption Insurance is 6.5% of the total cost of the trip.  Please remember that in order to receive compensation through CSA, your reason for cancelling must be a covered cause under the CSA Plan.  

If you are forced to cancel your reservation (for any reason) and you are not covered by CSA, Gardner Realty Rentals will put the property you have rented back on the available rental market and if we are successful in re-renting the property we will refund you any monies that would have been previously paid for the dates that the property was re-rented, minus $100 cancellation fee.

Do you allow Pets?

We do have numerous "Pet Friendly" properties and these properties are advertised as such on the specific property page(s)

Are pets allowed on the beach?

Carolina Beach and Kure Beach have different restrictions regarding pets (dogs) on the beach.  The rules are as follows:

Carolina Beach - Dogs are prohibited in town limits between the dates of March 1 and October 30. During the times that dogs "are" allowed on the beach, they must remain on a leash at all times and the owner must not only pick up after their dogs, they must provide proper tools to do so.

Kure Beach - Dogs are prohibited between April 1 - September 30.

Freeman Park (North End) - Dogs are allowed yearly and can be off leash between the dates of October 1 - March 31, as long as they remain under voice command.

Please be advised that these rules have been applied and are enforced by the local municipalities.  Therefore, changes may occur and can often be located on the municipality websites: http://townofkurebeach.org/ and http://www.carolinabeach.org/

Do you have "Wedding Friendly" properties?

No, we have facilitated numerous weddings at some of our properties in the past.  However, we no longer offer this type of service at any of our properties.
